あらすじ（日本語）
ぼくの飼い猫のピートは、冬になるときまって「夏への扉」を探しはじめる。家にあるドアのどれかひとつが、夏に通じていると固く信じているのだ。そして1970年12月、ぼくもまた「夏への扉」を探していた。親友と恋人に裏切られ、技術者の命である発明までだましとられてしまったからだ。さらに、冷凍睡眠で30年後の2000年へと送りこまれたぼくは、失ったものを取り戻すことができるのか―新版でおくる、永遠の名作。
